As a Temple University graduate and Ph.D. graduate, she brings advanced educational expertise, research-based practices, and a lifelong commitment to academic excellence into early childhood development.

As both a proud parent and grandparent, she brings genuine warmth, patience, and a caring spirit into the classroom each day. Mrs. Pickens holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and has completed extensive professional training in infant care and development. She is passionate about creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where every child feels secure, valued, and encouraged to grow and thrive. Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Pickens enjoys spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and remains actively involved in her church community.

With a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and many years of hands-on experience in early childhood care, she is passionate about supporting each child’s growth and development during their earliest and most important years. As both a parent and grandparent, Ms. Long understands the importance of creating a nurturing, safe, and trusting environment where infants feel loved, secure, and encouraged to thrive. Her gentle spirit and caring approach help build meaningful connections with both children and families. Each child has a curated experience as she provides encouragement and support within their daily learning experiences.
